Giving Local helps people give useful items to others in the same town. The giver chooses an approved charity, fundraiser or good cause, sets an optional minimum donation, and the person collecting the item can support that beneficiary.

How Giving Local works

One local exchange. One chosen beneficiary.

Members belong to their town. Items are offered locally, the giver chooses who the donation supports, and the beneficiary is visible before anyone registers interest.

Members register and are attached to their local Giving Local area.

Add photos and a description, then set an optional minimum donation.

Choose a cause

Select an approved beneficiary. Its name and logo appear on the listing.

Collect locally

An interested member in the same town arranges collection — no postage needed.

Donation recorded

Funds are attributed to the chosen beneficiary and included in its scheduled payout.

Become a Giving Local beneficiary.

Approved beneficiaries can be selected by local members when they give an item. Your name and logo appear on supporting listings, and your dashboard will show donations, pending balances and scheduled payouts.

What beneficiaries receive

Visibility on local listings, donation attribution, monthly statements and a clear payout history. Donations received in one month are scheduled for payout on the last day of the following month.

Example: donations received during September are scheduled for beneficiary payout on 31 October.

Approval before appearing in the app

Applications are reviewed before a cause can be selected by members. This protects users and prevents unverified fundraising pages appearing in the app.

The app is deliberately simple: Browse, Give and My Account. Members see items in their own town, arrange local collection and know which beneficiary their donation supports.
